At Truewoods Timber, we believe that beautiful furniture shouldn't come at the expense of our environment. That's why we are deeply committed to sustainable woodworking practices and ethical sourcing.
The majority of our wood is locally sourced right here in Alberta. We work closely with arborists and local landowners to salvage trees that have fallen due to storms, disease, or urban development. By giving these trees a second life as beautiful furniture, we reduce waste and lower our carbon footprint compared to importing exotic woods from overseas.
In our shop, we strive to minimize waste at every step. Offcuts from large tables are repurposed into smaller items like cutting boards, charcuterie trays, and floating shelves. Even our sawdust is collected and donated to local farmers for animal bedding. We also prioritize using eco-friendly, low-VOC finishes that are safe for both our craftspeople and your family.
